East River Baptist Church was chartered by 60 members on October 2, 2021. We are the result of two longstanding churches merging as one. We are a Bible believing Baptist Church that strives to encourage the growth of the saints of God, to evangelize the sinner by coming to the Savior, and above all exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a Bible believing ministry with a desire to reach the lost in our local communities as well as abroad.
We strongly believe in "rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Tim.2:15).
We recognize the two most sacred things on earth is the holy Spirit and the word of God.

We strongly believe in "rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Tim.2:15).
We recognize the two most sacred things on earth is the holy Spirit and the word of God.
We understand as believers the most important thing for our life is our individual and personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
We understand the importance of worship and assembling together with other like-minded believers.
The Holy Scriptures
We Believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be Providentially preserved in the Authorized King James Bible. It is “the holy scriptures” that is “given by inspiration of God.” (2 Tim.3:15-17) (2 Peter 1:20-21) (Prov.30:5)

The Godhead
We believe in one triune God, existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each co-existent in being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Duet. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; John 14:10, 26; 2 Cor. 13:14)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious atonement, His bodily resurrection, and His second coming. (John 1:1; Isa. 7:14; I John. 2:1-2)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that all sins, except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, (which we do not believe is possible in this dispensation) are forgivable. (Matt. 12:31-32; John 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; 1 John 1:9)
Church
We believe that the local church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ is solely made up of born-again persons. (1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 1:22-23; 5:25- 27)
We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control. (Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28; Rom. 16:1, 4; 1 Cor. 3:9, 16; 5:4-7, 13; 1 Pet. 5:1-4)
Doctrine
We are Baptist in doctrine, and traditional in views of music and worship. We subscribe to a moderate dispensationalism and are anti-Calvinistic in theology. We also believe in a practical, Biblical Christianity: prayer, personal work, giving, ministering to the saints, and a daily walk with Jesus Christ.
This does not exhaust what we believe. The Bible is our sole authority on all matters of faith, practice, and doctrine.
